Course Description
Having spent the first semester learning how to become academic writers, in the second semester we will focus on learning how to become creative writers. We will work through all of the steps involved in the process of creating a first draft of a short screenplay to expand our knowledge and experience of the English language, learn the discipline of being creative and read film in a more informed way.

Grading
There will be an exam in week 9 which will test your comprehension of screenwriting structure through your analysis of previously unseen script as well as a number of creative challenges. The exam is designed to help you to consolidate your knowledge of screenwriting so that you can proceed effectively to the completion of the screenplay.
