課程概述 |
This course is designed to provide an introduction to the scientific study of primates, their behavior, and ecology. Primatology is an interdisciplinary field that encompasses biological anthropology, zoology, ecology, psychology, and other disciplines. Students will explore the diversity, anatomy, behavior, and physiology of primates and their evolutionary history, including the emergence of humans as a separate lineage.
The course will also cover the challenges faced by primates in the modern world, including habitat destruction, hunting, and other threats. Students will consider conservation efforts aimed at protecting primates and their habitats, as well as the role of primates in biomedical research. |
課程目標 |
The students will be able to:
1.Understand the taxonomic diversity, anatomy, and physiology of primates and their evolutionary history.
2.Analyze the social behavior of primates, including social structure, communication, and cooperation.
3.Evaluate the ecological factors that shape the distribution and behavior of primates in their natural habitats.
4.Examine the challenges faced by primates in the modern world and evaluate conservation efforts aimed at protecting primates and their habitats. |
