課程概述 |
This course is given in English. It gives an introductory survey to early modern science and medicine through close reading of selective primary materials. |
|
課程目標 |
1. To help students gain first-hand knowledge of early modern science and medicine through primary reading and critical exchanges in class.
2. To sharpen students' ability to think, express, argue, and write. |
|
課程要求 |
This course requires close reading, active and heavy discussion. Lecture will be minimal. There will be three assignments in the form of short essays, and frequent in-class presentations. |
