課程概述

意識哲學是涉及哲學、認知科學與腦神經科學，並且常常由哲學家與科學家共同研究的一門前衛的學問。本課程是意識哲學的導論，並會分為前後兩部份。前半部份將探討有關「第一人稱觀點」的問題，例如「甚麼是第一人稱觀點？」、「第一人稱觀點可以被科學解釋嗎？」、「如可以，那解釋會是怎樣的？」等等。後半部份將於各週簡介不同的意識哲學專題，例如「研究意識的方法」、「時間意識」、「意識的等級與計量」、「思考語言」、「顏色的本質」等等。 

課程目標
 本課程的目標如下：
（1）讓學生對當今意識哲學有基本認識。
（2）關注哲學與科學的對話。
 
課程要求
 由於每週各有專題，學生必須閱讀所有指定讀物，並提交每週功課。
