課程概述

在1971年出版《正義論》(A Theory of Justice)一書後，羅爾斯(John Rawls)的社會正義理論得到許多專業領域的熱烈探討與批評。他在後續的一系列論文和講座裡，對其主張持續進行精鍊與修正。羅爾斯把自己的理論「作為公平的正義」明確定位為政治的正義觀，並提出交疊共識和公共理性等概念。在1993年出版的《政治自由主義》(Political Liberalism)裡，可以看到羅爾斯後期理論的完整體系。本課程將探討政治自由主義的基本要素、三種主要概念以及制度性架構，並分析羅爾斯前後期理論之間的差異。

課程目標

本課程欲透過閱讀並探討《政治自由主義》之重要概念和論證，促進學生對羅爾斯後期政治哲學理論的瞭解。此外，本課程也將透過課堂討論和個人作業撰寫，來培養學生的表達能力、論證建構和批判反思能力。

課程要求

1.本課程屬於政治哲學進階課程，修課學生需具備倫理學與政治哲學的知識基礎，以利課程學習、文本閱讀與討論。若對《正義論》裡的主要論證與主張有基本認識則更佳。
2.修課學生務必出席第一週課程導論，充分瞭解課程和評量要求。本課程以選課系統加退選，欲人工加簽者第一到三週都必須出席並跟TA簽到。網路退選日以後若有餘額，將為前三週有出席且簽到的學生進行人工加簽。如果符合加簽規定的人數超過餘額，則以抽籤方式決定。
3.彼此尊重－上課不聊天：課堂裡切勿私下聊天，若有任何疑問，歡迎隨時舉手發問或提出討論。
4.誠實－作業不抄襲、考試不作弊：個人作業切勿抄襲網路資料或他人文字，考試絕對不要作弊。抄襲和作弊者成績以零分計算。
5.積極參與：應積極參與課堂提問與討論。
