課程概述 |
在這門課中，我們將會探索以下各式各樣的哲學基本問題。
知識只是有理據且為真的信念嗎？有沒有可能我們生活在Matrix的世界？我們真的有理據去相信世界的真實樣貌如同我們所相信的那樣嗎？我的靈魂有可能可以跟我的身體分開嗎？我的心靈就只是我的大腦嗎？我的心靈就只是個類似電腦程式的東西嗎？無意識的行屍走肉可能嗎？一個完美的機器人有心靈嗎？我們有自由意志嗎？過去到現在的所有一切決定了未來嗎？如果是，我們能自由地做決定或改變未來嗎？如果否，那麼科學預測是不是一場徒勞？有沒有可能回到過去並改變過去？在沒有任何不好的後果的情況下，說一個白色謊言讓他人開心是不道德的嗎？ |

本課程目標是學習：
(a) 理解哲學討論呈現的方式以及哲學家如何問問題,
(b) 分析和評價不同的哲學觀點, 並且
(c) 發展和有條理地表達你自己對上述問題的觀點。 |

課程要求 |
To achieve the course’s goal, the course relies heavily on multimedia resources, dialogues, presentations, and writing. Hence, each student is expected to read the assignments and watch the assigned movies before class, attend every class, and participate in both in-class discussions and group discussions. In addition, there will be pre-lecture quizzes, designed to test whether you have read the assignments the lectures are about. |
