Course Description

本課程將引領同學賞析西方世界自古希臘時期到十八世紀的經典戲劇作品，包含古希臘時期悲劇與喜劇、中古時期宗教劇、英國文藝復興時期戲劇，法國新古典主義莫里哀的喜劇，以及援引即興喜劇傳統的十八世紀義大利喜劇等作品。  

Course Objective
 *認識西方戲劇史上重要的劇作家及其作品，從而對西洋戲劇的發展有基本概念。
*熟習劇本分析的要素，培養劇本分析能力與批判思辨能力。
*透過劇本議題的探究，增進人文關懷，並思考這些經典作品如何持續與當代觀眾對話。  
Course Requirement
 *本課程為中文授課，使用之劇本大多為英文劇本。請務必帶指定的版本教材上課，以利上課討論與讀劇進行，
*本課程一半由老師授課，另一半以小組或全班討論方式進行。同學被期待上課前完成當週指定劇本的閱讀，帶來你的問題與觀察，積極參與課堂討論。
*準時出席是基本要求，請勿遲到，一打鐘就進入上課模式。三次遲到等同一次缺席計算。除非天災與重大意外，缺席(含)三次將無法通過此門課，請自動退選。
*除非隨堂線上小考與查閱資料，勿在課堂使用手機。
*隨堂小考、作業、與期中考、期末申論題等將於課堂說明。
*欲加選此門課者，第一次上課務必出席，否則不予加簽。
