課程概述	本課是博士班唯一的必修課。主要目的有二：一是強化同學對於歷史研究的認識，以期順利展開博士班的學業，再則是提供同學相互切磋討論的機會，希望學識有所成長。本課所包含的內容大約有以下幾種：個人報告、論文研討（以外文為主）、客座講演、集體計畫等。實際安排視學期初課程進行的狀況決定。本課無考試，學期末繳交報告一篇，寫作方式待定。
課程目標	了解歷史知識的基本性質、系統並深化史料收集與分析、跨領域研究的認識
課程要求	深入閱讀並統整各家論旨，並以精簡摘要匯通其大意，是各單元閱讀討論的必備基礎，方能轉化為積極參與課堂討論的資源，進而期待能以「歷史時間」的認識，提出對自己研究領域具有反思的新問題
